The Mansfield FFA Chapter is the youth leadership organization for students of Agricultural Science and Technology in the Mansfield Independent School District of Texas. FFA members/Agri-Sci students come from the district's four high schools, Mansfield High School, Mansfield Legacy High School, Mansfield Summit High School and Mansfield Timberview High School.
Our school district is located in southeast Tarrant County and northeast Johnson County in Texas, about 15 miles southeast of Fort Worth and about 20 miles southwest of Dallas. Students from each of the district's high schools attend Agricultural Science classes at the Ben Barber Career Tech Academy and the Reed-Stewart Agricultural Science Center.
MANSFIELD FFA FACTS
The Mansfield FFA Chapter has an annual membership of nearly 250 members, making it one of the largest FFA chapters in Texas. Our chapter is a member of the District II FFA Association, which includes 21 chapters in Tarrant and Parker Counties. District II is part of the Area V FFA Association. Area V includes all of the schools that teach Agricultural Education courses in a thirteen county area of North-Central Texas. Area V has more than 5,000 members and is one of ten areas in Texas. The Texas FFA is among the largest state associations in the National FFA Organization. Texas has about 60,000 members in nearly 950 FFA chapters.
The National FFA Organization is the nation's largest school-youth organization. Founded in 1928 and chartered by the United States Congress in 1950, the National FFA Organization has more than 450,000 members in more than 7,200 local chapters throughout all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam.
